Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented QA Trainee to join our quality assurance team. This is a 4 to 6-month intensive training program designed for recent graduates or final-year students who are eager to launch their careers in software testing. During this program, you will work on live projects, learn the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and gain hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing tools.

Job Responsibilities

  • Test Design: Review and analyze software requirements to create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Manual Execution: Execute test cases (functional, regression, and integration) for web and mobile applications to identify bugs and usability issues.
  • Bug Tracking: Identify, document, and track bugs using industry-standard tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure issues are resolved.
  • API & Database Testing: Learn to validate data integrity and API responses using tools like Postman or basic SQL queries.
  • Reporting: Contribute to QA metrics and progress reports regarding defect status and test coverage.

Qualifiations

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of software development and testing life cycles (SDLC/STLC).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to identify edge cases and hidden defects.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Must be able to leverage AI tools (e.g., Gemini, Cursor, Claude) to generate test cases, create test data, and improve overall QA efficiency during the 4-6 month program.
  • Familiarity with any programming language (Python, Java, or JavaScript).
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
  • Prior exposure to any automation tool (Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright) is a plus.
